Dried sphagnum peat moss and perlite are ideal mediums for planting most types of carnivorous plants. Simply moisten the moss and loosely surround the roots, and pot your plants. Use our planting mixture to plant Venus Fly Traps, Sundews, or Pitcher Plants. This blend allows for quick-draining soil as well as a light and airy mix that allows oxygen to get to the roots.

To ensure the best results, thoroughly soak your plant before repotting by immersing the pot in water for a few minutes. Avoid using chlorinated tap water, as it can be harmful to your plants. Instead, use reverse osmosis water, distilled water, spring water, or rainwater. Additionally, it's best to avoid repotting your carnivorous plants during the winter dormant period, as this can put extra stress on the plants.
